Residency and Fellowship Update

The UMMC Dermatology Residency Program currently boasts 11 residents in training in the PGY-2 through -4 years with three PGY-1s joining us next year. Our sixth class of graduates finished in June 2021, although graduation again looked a little different this year due to COVID-19.

On July 19, 2021, the University of Mississippi Medical Center Department of Dermatology participated in the medical center's Insight Summer Enrichment Program. The program is designed to inspire Mississippi high school students in medically underrepresented racial or ethnic groups.

Clinic Updates

In June 2021, our UMMC Dermatology Clinic moved from Suite K in the Pavilion to University Physicians Grants Ferry in Rankin County. The new location provides more patient rooms, better patient and employee parking, and updated facilities.
